Our original “barrels” weren’t barrels at all. They were charred tree branches pulled from backyards, aging signature moonshine in mason jars. That early experimentation became the “Branch” in our name. The “Barrel” came later, once the craft evolved—but our connection to the outdoors never left.

Part of why it tastes like Colorado is our water. Sourced from the 65-million-year-old Arapahoe Aquifer in the Denver Basin, it’s naturally soft to moderately hard, lightly mineral, and bicarbonate-rich. Just as Kentucky’s limestone shapes bourbon, our water helps round flavors, highlight caramel and oak, and create a smooth, approachable mouthfeel.
