Ready to get a little “toasted” with a sweet, smokey and boozy treat? Then stop by sometime before month end and enjoy this nostalgic, tasty drink that is a delightfully fun take on the classic old fashioned! Inspired by a love of S’Mores, this cocktail is an awesome balance of smoke, chocolate, marshmallow, and graham crackers.

Consisting of a chocolate rim rolled in graham cracker crumbs, our Flagship Bourbon, chocolate bitters, S’mores syrup, toasted marshmallows and finished off with a blast of smoke, the Campfire Old Fashioned is simply amazing! It really manages to capture and invoke the essence of everyone’s favorite fireside treat and fun memories of sitting around a campfire! Furthermore, besides being a super delicious and popular cocktail, half of the proceeds from this cocktail will go to ELK (Environmental Learning for Kids) to support their efforts.

Elks Mission And Values

ELK is a Denver-based, 501(c)3 organization established in 1996 by two wildlife biologists who saw a growing need to educate Colorado’s underrepresented youth about science, math, leadership, and career opportunities. Elk is on a mission to cultivate a diverse community of leaders and environmental stewards by increasing outdoor equity. Their values focus on justice, equity, diversity & inclusion, social-emotional learning, accessibility to nature and life-long experiential learning.

ELK – The Vision

ELK reaches out to students who have been traditionally overlooked and under-encouraged in science and science-related careers, most notably, youth of color, LGBTQ+, and girls. Elk has a vision that we can easily get on board with! They envision a world in which all people are caretakers of themselves, each other, and the natural world. Their programs are absolutely FREE for children from age 5 years to 25 years old. True to their vision, ELK has spent more than 28 years building an inclusive and diverse community of inspired environmental stewards in Colorado and Branch & Barrel is proud to support them!

Buy Local – Support Local Charities

True to the ethos of their brand, Branch & Barrel chooses to use only Colorado ingredients in the production of our spirits. From local honey producers, local coffee roasters, to Colorado grains and water, Branch & Barrel partners with local businesses exclusively! Similarly, we love supporting different local nonprofits in their ongoing efforts, such as the Morgan Adams Foundation (Children’s Cancer Research), Project Cure (humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and other areas around the globe), and Colorado Outward Bound School (outdoor experiential education), among others.

Donations from Branch & Barrel puts money directly back into the community through training, grants, community partnerships, and more. Branch & Barrel has a commitment to giving, so each month, our menu will feature a different “Charity Cocktail” to benefit a local organization! What are you waiting for? Come have a taste of the best craft spirits that Colorado has to offer and support local charities in the process!
